LG15 Sample in Lava Red - Iron Grey

This highly dynamic glaze was developed to mimic a classic glaze Edith Heath developed for an installation on the facade of the Norton Simon museum in Pasadena, CA. Depending on the interaction between the layered glazes in the kiln, some tiles will exhibit more Redwood tones and others more Hematite tones giving installations a naturalistic range of tones from red-brown to dark, metallic grey. The surface has a subtle sheen and is highly textured and mottled. Sold Individually. Up to 6 tile samples may be ordered online. Glaze sample out of stock?
