These days, with the speed at which trend cycles fade in and fade out, more and more homeowners want to incorporate vintage design elements into their spaces. They're not alone: Brands are also looking inward and mining their archives for inspiration, resurrecting beloved objects and bringing them back to the fore.
Trusting in one's design DNA is old hat for Heath Ceramics. "The archive is something our team lives and works with every day," says design director Rosalie Wild. "It’s not tucked away in storage—it’s a constant presence in our factory and studio."
That instinct has most recently manifested in a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Herman Miller. The limited-edition collection, dubbed Gathered, brings together two revered American design brands—and serves as a celebration of their devotion to craft.
